There is no secret to how PoshBomb.com works. It works on the basic fundamentals of supply and demand; that is the greater the supply (or volume of purchase in this case) the lower the price. It's know as economies of scale!
Assuming one shirt costs us $5.00 (including packaging, shipping, paying employee salaries, buying materials from suppliers, etc.)
That means PoshBomb can sell 1 shirt at $10 for $5 dollars profit (profit of $5 per shirt)
We could then also sell 2 shirts at $7.50 for the same $5 profit (profit of $2.50 per shirt X 2 shirts)
Or we could even sell 500 shirts at $5.01 for the same $5 profit (profit of $0.01 per shirt X 500 shirts)
Now we also have to consider that shipping 500 shirts is not much harder than shipping only one shirt.. it's still 1 box, 1 trip to the post office, 1 employee filling the box, 1 name on the packing slip, 1 payment invoice, etc.
So in reality it might only cost us $2 per shirt to ship 500 shirts. So now instead of making $0.01 profit per shirt on an order of 500 we are making $3.01 per shirt or $1505 profit.
$1505 profit is far better than $5 profit and we pass these savings on to all our consumers.
So as our slogan says, the prices fall as you buy!
